Fun Loving Companions

 The puppy to the right is also Lily, taken when she was 10 or 11 weeks old. It is remarkable how they change over time!

 We started showing miniature Dachshunds in 1998. After a few years, we began breeding them occasionally to try to breed a better quality dog to show. In the 2000's we became acquainted with the Havanese breed and fell totally in love with them. We started showing our first Havanese along with our Dachshunds and eventually moved entirely to Havanese. As of 2022, we have completed AKC championships for 21 Havanese. including 9 of our own breeding, and hope to continue  showing.

We show and breed Havanese on a limited scale in Texas. Our primary purpose in breeding a litter is to try to produce our next show dog, which must have great structure and great temperament. Our most important considerations before breeding a litter include: healthy puppies, great temperaments, and improving the breed. Because we want healthy, long-lived dogs, our sires and dams are health tested as age appropriate prior to breeding, in accordance with the recommendations of Havanese Club of America, our parent club, and we follow their code of ethics.
